Resolution concerning the Solemn League by the Commons assembled in Parliament, June 2, 1646

Resolved (upon the Question) by the Commons assembled in Parliament, That all persons that have or shall come and Reside in the Parliaments quarters, shall take the National League and Covenant, and the Negative Oath, notwithstanding any Articles that have been or shall be made by the Soldiery.
Ordered by the Commons assembled in Parliament, That the respective Knights and Burgesses do send Copies of this Vote to the respective Committees of the several Counties; And that the Committee of the Army do likewise send the same to the General, and to the several Commanders in chief of the Parliaments Forces in other Parts: And the care hereof is referred to Mr. Scawen, as to the sending thereof to the General and Commanders.
